Department of Building Permits Complex Welcomes Delegation from the Sultanate of Oman

According to the Ministry of Municipality, the Department of Building Permits Complex at the Ministry of Municipality welcomed a delegation from the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates "Madayn" in the Sultanate of Oman.
Enthusiastically greeted by En. Saad Abdul Karim Al-Qahtani, the Director of the Building Permits Complex, Eng. Khalid Al-Marzouqi, the Chairman of the Committee for the Admission and Classification of Engineers and Engineering Consultancy Offices, and a team of engineers and experts, the Omani delegation was extended a warm welcome. Notable attendees included Mr. Mishaal Mahjoub Al-Hajjaji, the Director of Operations at "Manateq" Company, and Mr. Juma Sabah Juma, the Head of the Urban Design Department representing the Urban Planning Sector at the Ministry of Municipality.
The visit involved a coordination meeting where the Omani delegation aimed to gain insights into the State of Qatar's expertise in preparing and implementing technical requirements for construction projects. Specifically, they sought to understand the operational procedures of the Building Permits Complex and its digital transformation initiatives for license issuance. Additionally, a field visit was arranged to logistics and industrial areas in Qatar, providing practical exposure to the implementation of planning guides and technical requirements by the relevant authorities within the Ministry of Municipality.
Eng. Saad Al-Qahtani expressed immense pride in hosting the Omani delegation and highlighted the Building Permits Complex's advanced technical solutions. He emphasized its efficiency in completing procedures and improving work mechanisms. Eng. Al-Qahtani also underscored the significant achievements made by the Complex over the past four years, particularly the development of a comprehensive guide on construction requirements in the State of Qatar. This guide, consisting of four volumes, underwent continuous enhancements to maximize its effectiveness.
The visit aimed to facilitate an exchange of experiences between the Qatari and Omani sides in the construction field. The Qatari delegation presented practical guidelines, technical requirements, and an overview of the construction requirements guide in Qatar. Discussions with the Omani delegation centered around logistical and industrial areas, including technical procedures, warehouses, workers' housing, and the allocation of industrial or economic land. The Omani delegation expressed keen interest in benefiting from Qatar's successful experiences with Building Requirements Guides.
Eng. Ahmed Al-Farsi, Director of Project Management and Team Leader of the Building Requirements Guide at "Madayn," emphasized the visit's purpose to understand the application and preparation of Building Requirements Guides by the Ministry of Municipality in Qatar. He acknowledged Qatar's advanced development of multiple versions of the Building Requirements Guides, highlighting their valuable experience in the field of technical requirements for construction. The Omani delegation eagerly sought to learn from these experiences.
The Omani delegation comprised several members, including Engineer Ahmed Mohammed Al-Farsi, Director of Projects Department (Team Leader), Engineer Ishaq Ibrahim Al-Kharousi, Director of Operations Department in Nizwa Industrial City, Engineer Hilal Mohammed Al-Maamari, Director of Operations Department in Sohar Industrial City, and Engineer Muhannad Issa Al-Zadjali, Head of Technical Support Department in the Office of the Head of Operations Sector at "Madayn" in the Sultanate of Oman.
