First Jordanian-Palestinian vegetable shipment heads to Qatar
A cargo plane loaded with 36 tonnes of vegetables yesterday took off from the Jordanian capital Amman heading to Qatar as part of Jordanian-Palestinian cooperation on marketing agricultural produce

The vegetables were shipped by the Jordanian-Palestinian Agriculture Products Marketing Company (JPACO), which was established to work on supplying Arab countries with local agricultural produce.
During the take-off at the Queen Alia International Airport, Jordanian Agriculture Minister Khaled Hneifat said that the ministry established JPACO as part of the National Plan for Sustainable Agriculture (2022-2025)
He noted that the company operates under agricultural contractual strategies with farmers and international markets, which goes hand in hand with the agrometeorology development package and regulates the agriculture of shortage and export crops.
Petra News Agency reported Ala Eddin Abul-Khair, director-general of JPACO, saying contracts had been agreed to export agricultural produce to several European countries including Holland, Hungary, Romania, Poland, Austria and Czechia, as well as to Turkiye and Malaysia.
