The Scientific Excellence Award is regarded as one of the most important awards, honoring scientific excellence in a wide range of fields in order to spread a culture of creativity and excellence in Qatari society, in accordance with the award's mission, which is based on deepening the concepts of excellence and creativity through the adoption of international standards, the implementation of quality programs, and the achievement of individual and institutional integration to improve the outcomes of the educational process in Qatar.

The Scientific Excellence Award includes nine categories: the Scientific Excellence Award for primary school students, the Scientific Excellence Award for middle school students, the Scientific Excellence Award for secondary school students, the Scientific Excellence Award for university graduates, the Distinguished Scientific Research Award, the Distinguished Teacher Award, and the Scientific Excellence Award for master's degree holders , Scientific Excellence Award for PhD holders and the Distinguished School Award.

The judging period has been set by the organizing committee to run from October 11 to November 16, 2022. On November 17, 2022, the results will be presented to the award's CEO. From November 27 to December 11, 2022, the results will be approved by the award's board of trustees. The results will be announced between January 13 and 15, 2023. Furthermore, from February 1 to March 10, 2023, the Scientific Excellence Award exhibition will be held, followed by the Scientific Excellence Day ceremony to honor the winners on March 1, 2023.

The Organizing Committee of the Scientific Excellence Award invites all those who meet the eligibility requirements to apply for the award in any of its nine categories before the last day Thursday, October 13, 2022.
