Qatar Minister of Transport Visits Indian Ministers for Ports and Road Transport
Minister of Transport H.E. Jassim Saif Ahmed Al-Sulaiti met in New Delhi with Minister of Road Transport and Highways of The Republic of India H.E. Shri Nitin Jairam Gadkari and with Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways of The Republic of India H.E. Shri Sarbananda Sonowal

According to the report of the Ministry of Transport, it was an opportunity for the Ministers to review Qatar-India relations in the areas of transportation and its associated infrastructures, as well as cooperation ties in the areas of commercial ports. They also discussed ways to enhance and push up cooperation to new heights with relation to ecofriendly transportation services and maritime navigation services.
At the meeting with Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways of The Republic of India H.E. Shri Sarbananda Sonowal the two sides agreed on expanding the scope of the network of navigation lines that connect Hamad Port with India, and which currently stand at six seaports in India: Mundra, Kandla, Cochin, Tuticorin, Nhava Sheva and Hariza.
