Qatar Participates in the WHO 152nd Session of the Executive Board
The State of Qatar is taking part in the 152nd Session of the Executive Board of the World Health Organization (WHO), which takes place from 30 January to 7 February 2023 in Geneva, Switzerland

According to the Ministry of Health, the delegation of the State of Qatar for the 152nd Session of the Executive Board is headed by Minister of Public Health, Her Excellency Dr. Hanan Mohammed Al Kuwari.
The meetings focus on the priorities of the four main pillars: One billion more people benefiting from universal health coverage; One billion more people better protected from health emergencies; One billion more people enjoying better health and well-being; and More effective and efficient WHO providing better support to countries.
Topics throughout the 152nd Session will include universal health coverage; public health emergencies: preparedness and response; global strategy on infection prevention and control; public health emergencies: preparedness and response; and poliomyelitis eradication.
H.E Dr. Al Kuwari will also participate in the Sport for Health Steering Committee meeting in Geneva alongside leaders from WHO, FIFA and the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy.
In October 2021, the MOPH signed a three-year partnership with WHO, FIFA and the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy to make the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ a beacon for physical and mental health promotion, and a model for ensuring future mega sport events are healthy and safe. During the Steering Committee, the leaders will review the achievements to date of the Sport for Health partnership and identify the key priorities for 2023 and 2024.
