The second introductory meetings for the Scientific Achievement Award

The Organizing Committee of the Scientific Achievement Award, in its sixteenth session held at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, the second meeting to introduce the conditions and procedures for applying for the three categories of the award: Scientific Achievement Award for primary students, Scientific Achievement Award for preparatory school students, and Scientific Achievement Award for secondary school students.

The introductory meeting was attended by: Ms. Iman Sweid, Head of the Primary Stage Committee, Ms. Ghada Laram, Head of the Preparatory Stage Committee, and Ms. Hessa Al-Hamadi, Head of the Secondary Stage Committee, in order to familiarize the invitees with the terms and procedures for submitting applications for candidacy for the three award categories and to receive and answer their inquiries.

The Scientific Excellence Award aims to appreciate, honor and celebrate the Scientifically distinguished Qataris, deepening the concepts of excellence and encouraging all individuals and educational institutions to improve their performance. In addition to promoting positive trends towards knowledge and scientific research in the field of scientific excellence, directing individual and institutional care towards scientific excellence in areas that serve the achievement of the state's developmental orientations.

The method of nomination for the award, which started on September 13, was explained, as schools approve applications from their students for the Outstanding Student Award in its three categories. The conditions for participation, competition conditions, award value, and the evaluation criteria for the three categories were explained, which are summarized in: Personal characteristics, development of skills, participation in various activities and competitions, community contributions, research and scientific projects.

At the end of the workshop inquiries about the three categories of the award were received and answered, and the committee stressed the importance of submitting applications for candidacy from the award's target groups before the electronic system closes on November 16.​
