The World Cup opening ceremony was virbant and spectacular, featuring dancers, fireworks, world renowned figures, including Morgan Freeman. Other artists from America, including Diplo, DJ Calvin Harris and Jamaican singer Sean Paul will perform in the coming days at the Fifa Festival.

Only ten minutes are left to the first World Cup match at the Al Bayt Stadium -- Al-Khor, Qatar. The Qatari people as well as Qatari authorities are impatiently looking forward to the match. They know that the World Cup will place Qatar at the international center stage. This will definitely be a one of a kind tournament, held in a Middle Eastern country for the very first time!

It is unusual for Qatar and Ecuador to get through the to World Cup. This year both have succeeded and both national teams and very excited to do their best and represent their country. Qatar's Ro-Ro and Abdelkarim Hassan are known to be great defenders. Ecuador's Enner Valencia is known to be a great striker.

Qatar’s goalkeeper failed to stop a long free kick from Ecuador's Enner Valencia, however, the goal was disallowed following close examination with the video assistant referee system.

Players are ready to play the second half of the match. Qatar fans began cheering seeing Qatari team's determination towards the end of the first half of the match. The team's confidence has grown, Qatar must now put in all its efforts into scoring goals.
