According to the Ministry of Culture, he said: It is a great opportunity to present this theatrical performance to the audience of the Lebanon International Theater Festival, to inform the audience there about the history and history of the Qatari theater, and the artists it includes who present a sophisticated color of theater colors, “which the State of Qatar is proud of, through the march of local theater that extends historically, where the stars of the Qatari theater were able to present many theatrical performances, which the audience enjoyed, through a high artistic performance, in addition to what such foreign participations in Arab festivals reflect.” Qatari theatre enjoys great confidence among these festivals.

On his role in the theatrical performance, the artist Mohammed Hassan Al-Muhammadi stressed that his participation in the play «Sultan», depends on several roles, not one role, there is the role of the sailor, as well as there is the role of the elderly man, who is looking for his rights, and demanded by the Sultan, in addition to another new role, which is the role of Al-Naham.

He said: This role, I recently embodied in the twelfth session of the Alexandria International Theater Festival, a version that carried the cycle of the late artist Samir Ghanem, where the audience of this festival expressed a remarkable admiration for my performance of the art of omnivorous, and the sound it carried reflects the aesthetics of this art, and its strong impact among the public.

The artist Mohammed Hassan Al-Muhammadi described his new role in the play “The Sultan” as a role that reflects the importance of the art of omnivorous, and highlights at the time the role of Al-Naham, and the extent of the influence of the Qatari maritime loyalist on the hearts of listeners, which in turn reflects the nobility of the Qatari heritage, including the maritime heritage, and its ancient history.

It is worth noting that the play “The Sultan” has already received praise from critics and attendees when it was presented at the Hawara International Theater Festival in Morocco, representing the State of Qatar as the guest of honor of the festival. The play also participated in many Arab and international festivals, and received remarkable interaction from the audience from attending these festivals. This play handles the story of the sailor (Khamis), who refuses to run for the presidency of the island approved by the ruler, due to the lack of an heir, and the events revolve through a dream seen by the sailor (Khamis) and his presidency of one of the islands, but he rejects this dream because he is convinced of the need to stay away from the world of power and politics, due to the great responsibility that needs to be exercised to special skills and specifications. The theatrical performance also reflects the prevailing Arab culture’s view of politics and power.
