Second murder in Sligo leads to a suspect
Just two days after the discovery of the body of Aidan Moffitt, the body of another man has been discovered on Tuesday evening in an apartment on Connaughton Road

According the the gardaí, the body presented "severe physical injuries" indicative of a violent death, which has also been the case of Aidan Moffitt. The man was in his 50s however no further details have been provided regarding his identity. A forensic examination is being carried out on both bodies to discover further details on the circumstances of their death.
A man in his 20s has been detained as a suspect and further investigation will be taking place as the case has officialy been upgraded to a murder investigation.
